Wow. I’ve honestly never laughed this hard because of a MR episode before, but this was just fantastic. The way that Bastidius sets a new record in selfishness and complete disrespect for Phoneybaum’s childhood trauma just cracks me up. Simply brilliant. Also, it’s always a nice break from the norm when the Rangers actually show emotions once in a while.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed it yourself, but Phooneybaum has changed quite a lot lately. Once he was a voice of reason, the man responsible for keeping Bastidius from acting on his not always brilliant notions and practically some sort of Straight Man. Now, he steals from the poor, feels no regret after his former bride gets brutally murdered (because of his own greed, no less) and his grasp on reality is getting weaker and weaker. Any moment now, Phooneybaum is going to snap. And I love it, who needs ethics and morals anyway.

your recent recording, you know, the one where you give hints for a word by stretching out the beginning of the word whilst the other tries to get it caused me to release an uncontainable renegade bark of laughter on my daily packed space-commute.

a rumpus, hullaballoo, kerfuffle – call it what you will – ensued, brought about by this sudden faux pax which included, but by no means fully comprised, incidents such as a rotund priest careering backwards into a cluster of female japanese tourists wearing silver boots, the violent expulsion of a set of false teeth into the lap of a heavily pregnant woman, and the escape of a vetwards bound cat from its container. the latter resulted in a blur of deeply-scratched office workers and the chaotic depositions of much viscous and repulsive cat-allergy induced mucal matter.

with my once-proud ‘tasche at once both drooping and bristling with shame, i departed my carriage, never to realight.

notwithstanding that i am a long term partaker of your light and mildly distracting banter, i nevertheless anticipate recompense for the social inconvenience caused.

That depends on how painful and/or permanent you want the damage to be. I mean, you could probably hit it with a rock or some other blunt instrument, but that would likely lead to a slow, painful death in space as the life support stops working. And since you’ve already established that Computer doesn’t feel pain (at least not from any damage done to the ship itself, so I assume he can’t feel pain at all even if you hit him) this would be pointless. Instead, I would try emotional damage instead. From what I’ve heard in these weekly documentaries, Computer is somewhat of a crybaby so this should be easy. On the other hand, this could easily backfire as usual.

Sorry gentlemen, but I think this is a battle you can never win.

I am disheartened that the English language has not yet been replaced with a superior language in which making any kind of mistake, rather than potentially changing the meaning of a sentence, would simply make it clear that a mistake has been made. If, by the thirteenth of the month (the date of the next live appearance of the Mustache Rangers), not enough funds have yet been acquired, perhaps the Rangers themselves could request donations at their live appearance. People seem to be more willing to donate money when doing so does not involve the Interhyperwebtron and simply requires the psychical transfer of coins or monetary notes. If you think that this would not be begging, keep in mind that their request would likely lack most if not all of the classic hallmarks of begging, such as getting down onto one’s knees or being a hobo.

You have no idea (I would presume, though I don’t know you) how excited I am to know that the ‘Stashers (that’s my nickname for you) are back in action. Finally, I once again have a reason to get up in the morning. (For the past few weeks I have gotten up in the middle of the night instead, and once in the early afternoon. There were even a couple of days I didn’t get up at all, but rather crawled around all day on my stomach. One day it was someone else’s stomach. In short, it was an awkward and confusing couple of weeks.) Welcome back. Now don’t leave ever again.

If my memory serves me correctly, this fan-produced artwork was previously featured on the since-removed Fanart section of your electroweb site. As I myself am the originator of one of the other two such artworks (the image featuring both Major Bastidious and First Lieutenant Phooneybaum), I personally hope that it, too, will someday be featured in its own interblog post (something that, as I recall, once occurred to it in a post that was later deleted, likely as it was redundant in the presence of the then not-yet-removed Fanart section) sometime in the future.

Please, good sirs, I beg of you: find a solution forthwith! I didn’t want to bring this up before, for fear of being a burden, but I must tell you now that I…well, I will die without more Mustache Rangers episodes. I have a rare condition, very rare, called…Mustachio…rangerrrino…*mumbleumble*-itis. The doctors told me when I was very young, only a fetus, that if I went more than a few weeks without a mustache-related comedy-adventure improvisational podcast, I would suffocate from asphyxiation and stop breathing. And then I would die, because I also have a rare condition by which I must breathe to live. So, I implore you, please don’t let me die. No pressure. I understand you’re doing your best to wait for the problem to be fixed. I’m just saying…my death will be your fault. Anyway, looking forward to new eps soon. Cheers! (cough cough)

Methinks that of all the glorious episodes presented thus far in the journey of our heroic Commander Major and his valiant, witty, unflappable partner, Computer–and, to a lesser extent, Mr. Phooneybaum–my favorite episode would probably have to be #21, that one in which the team received a box with a new computer in it. The ensuing bickering and one-upmanship between the two competing computers had me belly-laughing until my stomach and other internal organs ached. Other top choices would include: #16, and whichever one starts with Bastidious asking Computer to translate “something that’s not there.” Drat. I cannot remember which title it is!

But if I were forcibly encouraged to choose only a favorite line from the entire collection of lines, it would undoubtedly be: “Welcome to the world.”/”I’ve…I’ve been here before.”

I have detected no more or less than two typographical errors in the text you have published.

‘When you think you might be having a through’ should be ‘When you think you might be having a thought’.

‘Faux because horse chestnuts not longer exist.’ should be ‘Faux because horse chestnuts no longer exist.’

You were clearly not thinking when you wrote that text. It is good to see you practicing the very things that you are preaching.

Hi there! Just wanted to say that I am the creator of this video, and I’m tickled beyond pink (would that be taupe?) that it’s come to the attention of Central Command. Salutations Mustache Rangers,

I’d like to take this opportunity to anounce that Mustache Rangers Central Command has accepted my entrance into the noble ranks as a Cadet. I will endeaver to fulfil my duty as a Mustache Ranger Cadet.

I have a query for Central Command. As an Englishman, I have researched into the history of the mustache in Britain.

In the British Army, it used to be required that all soldiers or all ranks grew facial hair.

The lower ranks were required to grow a regular mustache. As they rose through the ranks, they were then required to grow further facial hair, such as side burns and finally a full beard as they reached the highest ranks in command.

I have observed that the noble Commander Major Alastair Q. Bastidious and First Lieutenant Rutuger G. Phooneybaum are both sporting magnificent Mustaches, which appear to be in the style of the traditional, “English” mustache, “a style that is narrow, beginning at the middle of the upper lip the whiskers are very long and pulled to the side, slightly curled; the ends are pointed slightly upward; areas past the corner of the mouth must be shaved. Artificial styling aids permitted.”

My query is, will the Mustache Rangers also be employing such mustache heirachy, or will Cadets be permitted to groom their mustache in their style of their choosing?
